SPHAIR
Overview
SPHAIR is a Swiss talent development program that introduces young people to careers in aviation and parachuting. To stay relevant for Gen Z and Gen Alpha, SPHAIR needed more than just a visual upgrade — it required a full digital reimagination. I led the UX/UI overhaul from research to launch, creating a mobile-first platform built on interactivity, storytelling, and clarity. The final product delivered a credible, engaging experience that drives discovery, inspires action, and guides users from first interest to application.

The Challenge
The original website was outdated and uninspiring — packed with dense text, minimal interactivity, and unclear navigation. Gen Z users, accustomed to visual, fast-paced digital content, struggled to connect with the experience. Our challenge was to make SPHAIR feel fresh, bold, and aligned with the ambition of flight, while ensuring it effectively guided users through a complex application and training journey.
The Solution
Through stakeholder workshops, a design sprint, and Gen Z behavior research, we reframed SPHAIR’s digital touchpoints around clarity and inspiration. I designed an interactive career roadmap, a modular UI system, and a dedicated media hub showcasing real stories from SPHAIR alumni. The site features a scroll-based experience, visual storytelling elements, and mobile-first interactions. A new pre-check tool and streamlined application process helped simplify decision-making, while bold imagery and clear CTAs increased engagement and credibility.
The Result
The redesigned platform significantly improved engagement, time-on-site, and reduced bounce rates. Usability tests showed users had a stronger understanding of the steps needed to apply and train. Onboarding and storytelling enhancements led to higher sign-ups and kit requests. The modular design system supports future growth, while authentic content positioned SPHAIR as a trusted and youth-focused brand in aviation.
